You will need to hire an attorney to settle your debt with the IRS. Preferred Tax Relief settled my $95,000 tax debt for $500. No kidding! It cost me $9,500 to hire them but it was well worth it. The amount of their fees will depend on how much you owe the IRS but I couldn’t have done it without them. I found them online. If you enter their name in your search engine it will pull them up for you. Good luck.

I don’t think that it exists anymore. Your choices, if you owe the IRS back taxes, are:
    Offer in compromise
    Tax penalty abatement
    Wage garnish release
    IRS payment plan

An enrolled agent is you best bet to talk to if you feel you cannot deal with the IRS yourself. All the firms who advertise on TV should be avoided.
